Deffered Action for Childhood Arrivals
Damayan ng Kabataan members and Filipino domestic workers and friends from the New York Immigration Coalition attended an educational presentation on how youths would benefit from applying for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
Young people who came to the U.S. before they were 16 years old and are currently under the age of 33, can be eligible for protection from deportation and be granted a work authorization permit. DACA can also provide educational opportunities.
