Damayan Members Rally and Fight for Genuine Independence in the Philippines

Damayan marches with the Northeast Coalition to Advance Genuine Democracy in the Philippines during the 2023 Philippines “Independence” Day Parade at Manhattan. Damayan advocates for a genuinely independent and democratic Philippines, wherein American and foreign businesses will stop exploiting the Philippine economy or political landscape. We also fight for a Philippines whose president and government officials are not corrupt, nor usurping Filipino workers and families. A truly independent Philippines will NOT push over 10% of its population to migrate annually. A truly independent and democratic Philippines improves its local economy, provides plentiful dignified jobs, and ceases forced migration!
